One such popular liquid- only diets is the Master Cleanse. People who do the Master Cleanse drink eight to twelve glasses everyday of a combination of cayenne pepper, lemon juice, maple syrup and water, for ten days.

A person’s daily calorie consumption varies from 800 to 1200 depending on the number of glasses of lemonade or juices they drink. In a time period of 10 days this would set the body to starve on using the juice cleanse.
This would slow the metabolism rate as the stomach tends to store the food or content inside for an unpredictable period of time. Doing juice cleanse reduces the calorie intake from the person’s diet.
